the new building inserts itself cautiously into the existing context.

the result is a complex total-figure of different levels, that originate a variaty of different places, each with own quality and specific atmosphere.
the house represents no barrier but is rather an open structure. the connection between haigh terrace and moran park remains publicly and anytime accessible.
the foyer of the library, the event-hall, the exibition space, the shop, the cafe and the galery are organized on a pleated platform, the so-called landscape.
skillfully it mediates between the different heights and adopts the existing topography and path-structure into the inner organization.
the visitor has the free choice within or, to change between the different areas.
